In addition to the historical knowledge of the Jewish people and culture, this course aims to impart the knowledge and critical infrastructure needed to understand the phenomena, processes, movements, and spiritual assets of the Israeli people from their establishment to today, whether in their land or Most people around its various societies and its social development.

Tradition and crisis, old and new, sequence and transformation, center and periphery, uniqueness of imagination, influence, and absorption-these are some basic terms through which we can understand Israelis' lives.

The teachers of the department study the history of the Israeli people and the diaspora.

The department studies historical events, basic phenomena, and social and historical processes, and at the same time, has an in-depth understanding of the culture, new and old materials that formed the history of the Jewish nation.

After introductory courses and some compulsory courses, each student will prioritize different periods (ancient, medieval, and new era) and establish a set of class hours based on interest, with great flexibility and openness gender.

Formal and non-formal education and teaching systems have a large number of history graduates every year. Graduates of the Jewish History Department are also favored by cultural institutions such as media, museums, community centers, public service jobs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, etc.), and Jewish institutions in Israel and abroad.
